There will a Ducks Unlimited Ice Fishing Contest on Feb.20th in Garrison,Mn on Mille Lacs Lake..So far prizes are a Truck,42'TV's. A 4 wheeler,Ice house and also portable ones. Many other prizes.. GGM!!!

In the Ducks Unlimited forum if you go to event calandar it will list every upcoming event. Coinciding with eelpout this year darn it all.

ggm i hate to tell you this but im going to miss it again i have to work on sat gotta get the hours when i can but i will be going to a Du hunters party soon so i will get my money to Du....Enjoy yourself I really wish I could be there that beng said.I do encourage all members to go to this event or get to any Ducks Unlimited Event!!!!!!!!

 I could have used a hand up there this year. Fri. was good fishing but Sat. I did not get to sleep until I landed the last one at 6:00 am Sun. morning. I finally left the lines out of the water. The pout bite was constant. I had to steal minnows from Dave O.s house while he was asleep. I had a great time and registered 75lbs. of pout. I will show pics when I get done with the roll.

 I was thinkin about Forest on Sun. for the crappies but maybe you got a better idea.
 And yes Hunter Doug did fish for a couple hours of daylight with me but just as the sun was setting he had me escort his 2wd to the plowed road so he could get to the party. As soon as I got the lines down when I got back up came the first pout.
 Hopefully next year I can fish the duck contest as well. Some of our guys from Forest Lake went up and had a great time.

Forest works for me if you know where to go I myself dont trust the ice on that lake but im willing to go with someone that knows the lake!!!!!!
