well "HECK" this old timer is dazed and confused! THE ICE HAS BEEN OFF THE LAKE FOR A COUPLE WEEKS NOW AND NO FISH TO THE SHORE LINE YET ????the minnows are there and the water temps are right ! but still no fish to speak of. yes i am hearing reports of fish being caught by the limits and all sizes ? from a few fishermen... minnow tank is full of bait waiting for the opener, crawlers in the fridge next to the leachs.. the boat was dug out for the last time today before the big day and rain and probably stay there inless the fish start to bite! with all the openers behind me i am not realy excited about this one. so unless a major change comes around its looking like a late/early trip to the local fishing spot for a tired or burned out old timer looking to hook into just one more ole walleye bigger then my ambition. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THAT VENTURE OUT AND PLEASE BE SAFE !!! so you to might be able to not get too " EXCITED" about another MINNESOTA OPENER NEXT YEAR!!
love the great outdoors as long as we have it ! for you don't know about tomorrow. no one special, and special to no one !

Well the opener is almost here.. and the house will be FULL!!!  I 'll  be home tomorrow and some of my kids will be up north before I get there..Sounds like a cold and rainy opener.. I guess I won't be out in any boat at all..Of course I will be watching kids while parents go out and see if they have any luck at all!!!  Good Luck to U all and Have a Safe,Fun Opener!!!    GGM!!
